This webquest is designed to see how well you know equivalent fractions. You will apply the knowledge you have gained to several fun activities. You will need pencil, paper, and other materials given to you by the teacher to complete the activities. After completing the activities you will be able to identify equivalent fractions and make some of your own. Have Fun!

The Process

1. Find the definition for equivalent fractions and write it in your math journal.
2. Let's see if equivalent fractions send you into a fraction frenzy.
3. Follow the procedures 1-17 to complete the equivalent fractions activity (use your activity sheet to record your information).
4. Find as many equivalent fraction matches as you can.
5. Read the instructions on how to play, choose the level appropriate for you and you're on your way to Tony's Fraction Pizza Shop
6. Test your skills in equivalent fractions. Take the quiz on equivalent fractions and record your score.

Learning Advice
Let me encourage you to review the definition for equivalent fraction. A helpful hint in finding equivalent fractions is to divide your numerator and denominator by the same number to get a smaller fraction or multiply your numerator and denominator by the same number to get a larger fraction. When matching equivalent fractions check to see if the numerators and denominators were multiplied or divided by the same number.
